Volunteer at Mass
Our celebrations are greatly enhanced by the contributions of our generous volunteers. We would always be grateful for more- the larger the rota, the less burdensome the commitment. You are welcome to offer as little or as much as you can.
All volunteers complete a safeguarding process. Where a DBS is not necessary, the minimum requirement is an application form and two references. Volunteers need to have been in the UK for 6 months, and over 18, or have parental consent. Referees should be non-family members, and usually should have known the applicant for at least 2 years.

A team of volunteers from Immaculate Conception and St Thomas More, who have answered the call to “help those in need” in our local community. The SVP is an international Christian voluntary network and provides support to those who are suffering from loneliness and isolation, those who are sick or housebound, supporting individuals or families struggling with cost-of-living issues, or many of the other of life’s challenges.

Foundation Governors are entrusted by the Bishop with the ministry of school governance to act in recognition of the love of Christ for all members of the school community and one another. They have a vital role to play in making sure every child gets the best possible education, acting as 'critical friends' for the school leadership team and setting the strategic direction of the school.

JOIN ONE OF THE NEW ACTION GROUPS IN THE PARISH
The parish pastoral council is creating seven new Action Groups in the parish so that we can implement some of the suggestions made by parishioners in recent consultations about what they would like to see in the parish and so that we can respond to the Bishop's plan for parish renewal. The themes for the 7 groups were chosen to try to cover as many of the suggestions parishioners (and the Bishop) have made as possible.
The action groups and the lead contact person are below – you are welcome to get in touch if you would like to join one of the groups. All groups are open to all parishioners and meetings will be advertised in the parish newsletter.
